Where actor Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of a popular character from literature in the upcoming Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, buzz is that the female lead is not based on a fictional character but a real character in history. Renowned Bengali actress, Swastika Mukherjee, is making her Bollywood debut in Dibakar Banerjee’s detective crime thriller, and it is thought that her character in the film is inspired by Frisian dancer, Mata Hari, who was executed by the French army during World War I.
The actress looks gorgeous in the film and we can’t wait to see how this debut goes! This weekend be sure to catch Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, releasing worldwide on 3rd April 2015.
