Sandip Soparrkar makes a 'shoe-tastic' statement at Lakme Fashion Week!

The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015 celebrated 15 years of fashion, where designers presented a youthful and playful flavor on the runway. LFW is one of the renowned fashion weeks of India. The annual event was held in the country’s showbiz capital, Mumbai and was attended by who’s who of Bollywood, including Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Karisma Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Simi Garewal, Saif Ali Khan and many more, who came to cheer for their favorite designers. Their dazzling outfits did catch everybody’s attention, but it was ace choreographer Sandip Soparrkar’s shoes became a talk of the town.

The Lakme Fashion Week 2015 runway was full of innovative footwear, but much of the real excitement was off the runway. Some of our favorite celebrities put their best foot forward and that made for some shoe-perb shoe spotting. The dance guru wore an eye-popping pair of checkered shoes that looked like a jumbled up rubix’s cube for Shraddha Nigam and Mayank Anand’s show. The turquoise blue pair of shoes he wore the next day had a eye catching appearance at Babita Malkani’s show, making it one of our new favorite colors to try when the warmer weather hits.

Sandip’s footwear made an unconventional style statement at this year’s fashion week. It seems that the celebrated choreographer is all ready to set the new trend of bright colored shoes. On his Facebook page he said “A dancer is nothing without his shoes”, and we totally agree to what he says!
