We love it when artists release some amazing tracks as free downloads… who doesn’t love gifts, after all? This time, Rax Timyr Productions presents the female mash-up cover of “Jee Karda” from the 2015 Bollywood movie Badlapur (original music by Sachin Jigar and sung by Divya Kumar) and “Take Me To Church” by British singer-songwriter Andrew Hozier-Byrne (who did the music for that track too)! This mash-up features singer-songwriter Ambika Jois, in this Sufi-Rock approach to the fusion of Bollywood and British Indie-Rock/Soul. Ambika’s vocal versatility ornaments the amalgamation of these two chart-toppers bringing a new perception to mash-up covers uniting the roots of different musical cultures.
Ambika trained in Carnatic music under her father, her Guru Chandru who himself is a musician, violinist and string arranger. The Production, Arrangement, Piano nad Percussion on the track is by Rax Timyr. Featured on Lead Guitar and Base is Hav Singh, while acoustic guitar is by Ranit Shail. Tabla is by Shri Gadhvi.
