Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum’s cast recently got together to celebrate 1000 episodes! This is quite the feat in today’s time with very few shows coming anywhere near close the success that Diya Aur Baati Hum has seen.
The show became super popular with the story of a girl, Sandhya (Deepika Singh) and her dream to become an IPS officer. She is married off to an extremely conservative family before she could make her dream a reality. Her husband, Suraj (Anas Rashid) is an uneducated man, however, he fully supports her and helps her achieve her dream of becoming an IPS officer, despite all the difficulties they face from his family.
