Acclaimed filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee already has a sequel to his upcoming detective thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! on his mind! The talented director said,
“I am very interested in making ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! 2′ because in this film, it’s the detective’s first case. I want to make one more and show the audience a new adventure of Byomkesh.”
The film, based on the fictional detective character originally created by Bengali writer Saradindu Bandyopadhyay features Sushant Singh Rajput as the protagonist. Banerjee says his film is vastly different from the “Byomkesh Bakshi” TV show.
“That was a TV serial, and that works differently. A film takes you to a different world,” he explains.
