Actress Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Piku and she is extremely excited for this family drama! In fact, the actress is seen ensuring that she gives the slice of life, family entertainer her complete focus. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan as well. Piku is directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film is will see Amitabh playing a middle class Bengali father to Deepika and it promises to showcase one of the most unique and beautiful father and daughter relationship on screen.
As the trailer of the film is set to come out very soon and will also hit theater screens along with Yash Raj Film’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy on March 25th, the makers have launched a unique and quirky teaser that will see the star cast in an amusing argument over the film’s trailer and promotions.
Sources reveal that in one of the creative meetings, Deepika happened to mention a fun way of introducing the trailer, with a teaser that sees Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and herself in an argument over the trailer.
When contacted Shoojit confirmed, “Yes, Deepika happened to bounce the idea off us and we loved it immediately because it was unlike other conventional teasers. The team further worked on the idea and we are very excited to see the way the audience reacts to it”.
