Actor Suyyash Rai was attacked by a group of 20 men yesterday, who apparently belong to some political party. These goons decided to attack Suyyash for reacting to their reckless driving. They got out of their car and asked him to get out of his so that they could beat him, slap him, kick him and make him say sorry.
Suyyash recounted the horrifying experience to a leading daily. He said, “Yesterday, while driving back to Goregaon from Powai on the national highway, I was surrounded and targeted by some goons. It all happened when a BEST bus came on my way all of a sudden and to protect my car I applied brakes instantly, but there was one more car behind mine’s which thought I was playing around thus dodged dangerously and overtook my car.” He further said, “The entire tamasha didn’t end there. The car went on to block my way. Another car joined in and men got down from the vehicles and walked towards me. I rolled down my car’s window to speak but they asked me to get out of the car. As soon as I got out 15 to 20 men started hitting me with the sticks.”
What’s worse is that only one person intervened to help Suyyash out of a crowd of people. Suyyash has lodged an FIR with the police. Suyyash and Kishwer Merchant posted a message on their social media accounts.
We hope that Suyyash gets justice and these group of men are punished for what they did.
