It’s not easy to be stuck in the supernatural world all alone in the year 1994, especially on your birthday. Unfortunately, that is exactly what our dear Bonnie (Kat Graham) is facing in The Vampire Diaries in episode 13 titled, ‘The Day I Tried To Live’.
Determined to celebrate Bonnie’s birthday, Elena (Nina Dobrev) enlists Damon (Ian Somerhalder) help in convincing Jeremy (Steve McQueen) to celebrate his former love’s birthday. Elena believes that, that is what Bonnie would want and Elena wants to try to bring Bonnie back in time to celebrate her birthday with them. The three of them decide to piece together the broken ascendant, so that they could send a message to Bonnie and bring her back. Unfortunately, things go all haywire and they end up receiving a chilling message from Bonnie. She says, “Please tell everyone that I’m sorry”. Elena believes Bonnie is ready to end her life.
Meanwhile, Stefan (Paul Wesley) keeps a close eye on Caroline (Candice Accola) as she unconventionally tries to deal with everything that has been going on around her, especially her mother’s impending death.
Enzo (Michael Malarkey) forces Matt (Zach Roerig) to help interfere in Stefan’s grand-niece, Sarah’s (Tristan Mays) life. Will Matt figure out the connection between Sarah and Stefan? Lastly, Jeremy realizes that it might be time for him to move on with his life and thinks about leaving Mystic Falls for good.
