This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy will have you reaching for the tissue box. The episode is titled, ‘All I Could Do Was Cry‘ and it largely deals with April (Sarah Drew) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) facing a tough decision about their unborn child. The child has been diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta or in layman’s terms, brittle bone disease.
To make matters worse, Jackson and April have been butting heads as to what to do if the the baby is diagnosed with type 2, which is the fatal form of the disease. Jackson believes they should terminate the pregnancy whereas April wants to give birth to the child. In the trailer for the upcoming episode, April seems hopeful. She says, “Maybe God won’t take him. Maybe there will be a miracle”. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they will be receiving any good news regarding the baby. Jackson’s mother, Catherine (Debbie Allen) will show up and run into her ex-boyfriend, Richard (James Pickens Jr.)
On the other hand, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) will try to find someone to watch her kids, so that she can visit Derek (Patrick Dempsey) for the weekend. Jo (Camilla Luddington) will volunteer, however, Meredith will leave it up to Alex (Justin Chambers) to take care of them as she believes Jo is a hoodlum. Maggie (Kelly McCreary) can’t figure out why Meredith didn’t just ask her to watch the kids. Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) will give Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) some “tough love” when they work together on a case.
