Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power, it seems ties between India and the United States have become stronger. So much so, that when President Barack Obama visited India earlier this year, the two made progress on some deals, and Pres. Obama became the first American President to be Chief Guest at India’s Republic Day celebration! To top it all off, Pres. Obama even said a few words in Hindi at a speech he gave. Those words, are the iconic dialogue from the Shahrukh Khan starrer, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” (DDLJ) when Shahrukh’s character Raj, tells Simran – “Koi Baat Nahin Senorita, Koi Baat Nahin! Bade bade deshon mein, aisi chotti chhoti baatein hoti rehte hai!” Someone mashed up Obama saying part of the dialogue into a dubstep version. Personally, I’m not too impressed with the mash-up, but the video has gone viral, so I wanted to be sure all our readers had a chance to see it! I’ve also included the clip of the actual dialogue from DDLJ as well as a clip of when Prince Charles had bust out some Hindi a while back too (didn’t want to leave our UK friends out of the post!) Enjoy!
