Yes, you read the title right! We are talking about Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan who is a major fan of Basketball! I mean who isn’t! Well some of us don’t know much about it! That’s okay though because it’s the first time a Bollywood actor is about to play in the All Star Game in NYC with other Hollywood actors and celebrities. Now some of you must be thinking why Abhishek Bachchan? Well why not? Abhishek Bachchan, will attend NBA All-Star 2015 at the Madison Square Garden on February 13 and take part in the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game after being named a goodwill ambassador.
We on the other hand think it’s pretty neat that NBA India has finally launched in India and expanded out by forming teams. Sports is a really great way to build your self-esteem and find a cool new hobby to play. Abhsihek who has been following NBA majority of his life is super excited to be playing in the game this Friday ! The LA Lakers fan said:
“Excited and honored to be attending my first-ever All-Star game as NBA goodwill ambassador. “I know my trip will show fans in India the excitement, energy and athletic ability of the NBA and its players. Basketball is my first love, and I look forward to supporting basketball’s growth in India.”
He is slated to be the first Indian to be part of a NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. A LA Lakers fan, the popular movie actor will meet NBA players and legends over the weekend and go behind the scenes at the NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the All-Star Game, supposed to be the 64th. Now that’s pretty cool!
The actor owns the Indian Super League side Chennaiyin FC and the Pro Kabaddi league team Jaipur Pink Panthers. Abhishek will also take over the @NBAIndia Twitter handle on February 13 (9 p.m. IST) and answer questions from fans about NBA stars, teams and the All-Star game.
