Post the success of Mahabharat on Star Plus the epic saga has become extremely popular. Bolt Media is gearing up to bring to you a twist on the epic tale Mahabharat through Epic Channel’s Dharmakshetra. While much of the cast is still under wraps, news of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’s Simmi has revealed that she will be playing two very interesting characters on the show.
Shireen Mirza will be seen playing a double role in the show playing the role of Shikandi and Amba. Playing a double role has been quite the challenge for the actress.
According to Mirza,
“It was a different experience and I simply enjoyed working on the same. To be honest, I wasn’t really aware of mythological background of the characters and thus did not know that I had to play both a male and female character (Shikandi was a man, an avatar of Amba).”
After playing a true Punjabi sherni onscreen, Mirza is looking forward to the final outcome of these challenging roles!
