It is always great when celebrities take time out to support charity. Last weekend in Pune, actress Tanishaa Mukerji (sister of Bollywood actress Kajol) was seen in Pune along with her mother Tanuja to support the marathon by Prashanti Cancer Foundation (“Prashanti”). Prashanti was founded 20 years ago by a group of doctors to help in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, especially among disadvantaged groups and economically weaker sections of our society.

Tanishaa says,
“Cancer is curable by early detection, so I would request people to please go out there and test themselves, specially us woman. Our Cancer charity Prashanti offers free testing and so do many other hospitals around the country. Let’s fight the disease together.”
Isn’t that a sweet sentiment? We hope everyone comes together and helps support these charities! Hope we defeat cancer soon!
