2014 is barely over, and already people are busy discussing films for 2015! One of the films that has caught everyone’s attention is Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Piku’. Though a lot of the film is kept under wraps, sources close to the film says that Deepika Padukone plays Irrfan Khan’s love interest in the film. Pictures of the cast and crew from the sets have been making rounds on the internet every now and then. Based on these small clips we have of the film, it seems that Irrfan and Deepika’s onscreen chemistry is going to be loved.
A source from the film adds, “Though Irrfan’s love interest is Deepika, the film is not a typical love story and Irrfan-Deepika’s love angle is just one track in the movie, and their onscreen chemistry has taken everyone by surprise.” The source further added, “Irrfan is not an usual lover boy which is what makes him essay this character with a lot of depth.”
Director Shoojit Sircar was also very impressed with the onscreen pairing of Irrfan and Deepika. In his earlier films also, Irrfan shared great chemistry with his co-actors like Tabu and Konkana Sen. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, “Piku” starring Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan and Deepika Padukone is all set to release in 2015.
