Santa may be making his list right now, but the list that is sure to capture your attention worldwide is the “50 Sexiest Asian Men for 2014”, which is a list that British paper “Eastern Eye” releases annually. Get ready to drool because there are some sexy stars featured on the list! With over 10 million votes coming in totality this year, the competition reached a whole new level of sexy! Topping the list this year is, Hrithik Roshan, who has reclaimed the number spot again! Others Bollywood stars in the top 10 include, Shahid Kapoor (5), Barun Sobti (6), Fawad Khan (7), Ranbir Kapoor (8) and Salman Khan (10).
Last year, it was Ali Zafar who had snagged the coveted number spot, but this year he has dropped to third place. In a bit of a surprise, television actor, Kushal Tandon was runner up in this year’s list! New entrant to the list, television actor Vivan D’Sena, received the fourth place in the ranking. It seems Bollywood is getting some really sexy competition from the world of Indian television these days as the TV stars dominated the list (see below for more Indian TV stars on the list)!
On receiving the honor, Hrithik had the following to say,
“Thank you ‘Eastern Eye’. I am humbled by the desirable tag. I believe sexy is less to do with the physical and more to do with the mental perspective on life, others and yourself! Do good, never please, know your worth, walk your path, have a sense of humor, be the giver, be self-sufficient and contribute with power to all around. Sexy is as sexy does. Create your own sexy!”
Showbiz editor for ‘Eastern Eye,’ Asjad Nazir, founded the list and also is the chair for the judging panel. He wasn’t surprised at all that Hrithik Roshan was the supreme king of sexy since he sees Hrithik as India’s first global cinematic superstar. “The reason why Hrithik is regularly voted top is that he ticks all the boxes. He is a talented actor, is the best dancer in Bollywood, has arguably the best physique and has the kind of humility that connects him to the everyday individual.”
Some of our favorite television stars featured on the list including Gurmeet Choudhary (11), Karan Singh Grover (12), Ashish Sharma (14) , Karan Tacker (16), Kunwar Amar (17), Harshad Arora (19), Gautam Rode (20), Rithvik Dhanjani (21) and Aham Sharma (27).
Yet again, Virat Kohli (38) was the only sportsman to make it on the list. Other noteworthy entrees are: Shah Rukh Khan (13), Sidharth Malhotra (15), Arjun Kapoor (18), Ranveer Singh (22), singer Arjun (31), Atif Aslam (40) and Suriya (50).
