Amidst all the holiday chaos, singer Jay Sean quietly released an EP – The Mistress II EP‘ – the day after Christmas! It could easily have disappeared into the oblivion due to the release so close to christmas, but with just a few posts over social media, the next 3 days saw the EP storming the worldwide R&B Album charts on iTunes! The EP hit No. 6 in America, No. 20 in Canada, No. 14 in Australia and top 20 in his native England.
The EP’s success is even more surprising given that the 3 songs on it were already previously made available for free off of Sean’s November released ‘The Mistress II‘. The EP also includes 3 Candle Light / Acoustic renditions of those same 3 songs — Jameson, Tears in the Ocean and All I Want. We’re happy Jay’s back to doing what he loves to do – making music under his terms!
