2014 showcased some pretty interesting films, but 2015 seems like it will be an equally amazing year when it comes to movies! The list below includes some of the most anticipated movies for the year 2015. Some of these films have already been generating hype, and they have barely finished production! Alone
It is rare for the audience in Bollywood to be so interested in a Horror film, as typically, those movies have not done too well at the box office. Alone, however, has already been generating so much buzz. The chemistry between Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu is beyond hot, and the lead pair looks flawless together. The storyline too seems incredibly intriguing. Releasing on 16th January, this film is definitely the one to watch!
Bajirao Mastani
We’ll have to wait until December 2015 for this film, but it seems like it will be a classic. Bajirao Mastani is an upcoming Indian historical romance film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film narrates the story of the Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao I (Ranveer Singh), a Maratha General, and his second wife Mastani. The film reunites the hit pair from Ram-Leela, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra as a lead role and has Tanvi Azmi portraying a supporting role.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan
July 16, 2015 will see the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a romantic drama with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Previously, fans loved their pairing in Bodyguard, so they will be sure to set the screen ablaze again with their chemistry. The movie revolves around a Muslim guy who falls in love with a Brahmin girl. Salman’s the reigning king at the box office in 2014 with Kick, and it is possible that he will score another big hit with Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Dolly Ki Doli
Also releasing in January is Sonam Kapoor’s film, Dolly Ki Doli, produced by Arbaaz Khan Productions. The soundtrack has been doing well so far, and the marketing strategy has been working. Audiences truly want to know, “Dolly Kiski?”
Gabbar
Akshay Kumar, the lead of Gabbar, is sporting quite the crazy look in this film! It centers on the story of a vigilante military network formed to eliminate the most corporate individuals from all walks of life. Gabbar is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also stars Shruti Hassan opposite Akshay. Akshay’s forte is action films, so there is no doubt he will do a great job in this movie, slated for an April 2015 release.
Hero
In 2013, it was announced that Subhash Ghai would be remaking his 1983 superhit, Hero. On 6 August 2013 it was announced that Nikhil Advani is all set to direct and re-write the script for the film, which Salman Khan is producing under his production house, Salman Khan Productions. The film is to be the launch for Sunil Shetty’s daughter, Athiya Shetty, who will star opposite Suraj Pancholi. Govinda and Vinod Khanna will also feature in the film.
Phantom
This film is slated for an April release and is about the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism. It was set to release much earlier, but was delayed due to the shooting of Katrina’s Bang Bang. However, it is ready for a 2015 release.
Piku
The wait for Piku won’t be too long, as it is scheduled for an April 30, 2015 release. The film centers on a father-daughter relationship and stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. With actors of such high caliber, it is sure to resonate well with audiences. The film also stars Moushumi Chatterji.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
This film by Sooraj Bharjatiya is sure to make it shower money on Diwali! The star case consists of Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Armaan Kohli, Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal, and Sanjay Mishra. It seems like it is a perfect family drama. It will be nice to see Salman Khan reunite with the Bharjatiya and Rajshri Productions family.
Tamasha
Former flames, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, are set to reunite once again after the blockbuster hit ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ in Sajid Nadiadwala and Imtiaz Ali‘s film, Tamasha. Fans loved these two paired together and many hope they will eventually reunite. The film is sure to attract these fans as well as other fans of these two talented actors. The film will release in December.

Well, looks like 2015 will be a busy year for moviegoers! There are so many good films to choose from! Luckily, all we, the viewers, have to do is head to the theaters, grab our bags of popcorn, and be entertained!
