Tele-series Pukaar, featuring Rannvijay Singha, who portrays a military officer, will perform a daredevil act in his show. According to the sources, a stunt like this has never been attempted on the small screen.
Filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah who is co- directing this show with Deven Bhojani has earlier suggested that it would be ill-adviced to perform the stunt from the 15th floor. But, the stunt director Allen Amin, insisted that the stunt should be performed from a building not less than 20 floors. When asked Rannvijay about the stunt, he confirms,
“There is a sequence where I am chasing this guy in a building and this chase will end if I don’t jump. So there is this big leap where I catch him somewhere in the middle and then we figure out how we’ll get down. So yes, this is one of the big jumps we are doing for this show.”
Rannvijay has performed some deadly stunts on reality show Roadies and also on the big screen. An insider source revealed that no body-double has been used for doing this stunt. So when asked the actor if he is nervous, Singha said,
“No, there isn’t any nervousness. I have repeatedly done a lot stunts over the last couple of years so there isn’t any nervousness or some special preparations for this stunt. You have to trust your director, your stunt director and then just go for it.”
Pukaar is 24 episodes action series which will be aired on Life Ok from November 24 and it features Raj Babbar, Adah Sharma and Prashant Narayanan along with Rannvijay.
