Bachchan says Daughters are Supreme!

They say art imitates life… And perhaps that’s what got superstar Amitabh Bachchan to write a poignant blog piece on just why Daughters are supreme. Mr Bachchan is playing the role of a father in Shoojit Sircar’s next Piku. While shooting a heart warming scene in Kolkata with his onscreen daughter actress Deepika Padukone – Bachchan it seems, was reminded of his daughter and the relationship he shares with Shweta Bachchan Nanda.

Amitabh infact posted a series of photographs with Deepika that exuded affection and love typical to a father daughter relationship… The celebrated actor Mr. Bachchan wrote,

“Daughters are special … very special … they become the soul of the home…they are the reason for the warmth that embraces us all”.

With this father-daughter camaraderie, Piku seems all set to become one of those movies that you just can’t miss next year.

‘Piku’ is a roller coaster ride of a crazy father-daughter relationship essayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone with Irrfan Khan top lining the cast, in a pivotal author backed role. ‘Piku’ also marks coming together of Shoojit Sircar, Ronnie Lahiri and Juhi Chaturvedi, the team that had scripted Vicky Donor.

‘Piku’ is all set to release on April 30, 2015!
