Apart from leaving quite an impression in the minds of the audience worldwide, the trailer of Dharma Productions’ UNGLI has also been a pleasant surprise for the viewers, who didn’t expect such an edgy and offbeat film from the Production label. The trailer of the film has set a record with the highest likes to dislike ratio for a trailer on YouTube this year.
The trailer has garnered an impressive 20:1 like to dislike ratio. Which means out of 21 viewers only one disliked the trailer, which is quite an accomplishment. The ratio stands as the best any film has achieved in this year, the second on the list being Mary Kom with a 16:1 like to dislike ratio.
The digital space has been set a buzz with audience’s appreciating the trailer for being a sleek, edgy and vigilante drama. The trailer has hit the one million mark within weeks of its digital release. This is also the first time Emraan Hashmi will be seen in Dharma Production film. Said producer Karan Johar in one of his interviews;
“UNGLI is new territory for us. It is Dharma’s first film with Emraan and has a very different plot from the kind of subjects we have explored in the past.”
UNGLI intends to give an interesting take on day-to-day problems faced by a common man and how a gang of five friends (signifying the five fingers) choose to stand up and fight for justice with a very interesting and liberating approach. UNGLI stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda, Angad Bedi and Neil Bhoopalam in the lead. The film releases on November 28, 2014.
