Mandira Bedi has been the style icon for many years in the Bollywood industry. She has won two style awards: The MTV Lycra Style Award and the DNA Style Award for the most stylish person on television. She launched her saree collection in October 2013 which was inaugurated by Karan Johar. Also seen at the launch of her designer sarees were Anil Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Arshad Warsi & Maria Goretti, Sophie Chaudhry, Arbaaz Khan, Mini Mathur among many others. This year she debuted at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer 2014. Janta Connection’s founder, Shereen Chand, has a vision to recreate Lakme Fashion Week some day in USA.
Working with top designers from India, she is excited to be walking closer to her dreams and Mandira Bedi is a perfect fit in Chand’s vision. Shereen Chand wants to create a platform for designers globally to showcase their collection in USA. It is also creating opportunities for amateur models in USA to get exposure in the global fashion industry. Shereen is excited about her 2015 show plans which will definitely be the first in USA!
Janta Connection is a growing event organization, management, and marketing company who has successfully organized upscale nightlife Bollywood parties, lavish diwali and dandiya shows with celebrity guests, and top designer fashion shows. In June 2014, Janta Connection brought one of India’s top designers, Vikram Phadnis to showcase his collection along with Bollywood celebrities Malaika Arora Khan and Dino Morea as showstoppers.
