Bollywood What's Happenin'

Tanovic's Tigers entered in San Sebastian!

A few days ago we reported that Danis Tanovic’s new film, Tigers, was set to make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival!  Now, comes even more exciting news for the Tigers team as it has made it to another prestigious international festival – San Sebastian.  The festival takes place in one of Europe’s most exciting and beautiful small cities, Basque, in Spain.  The San Sebastian Film Festival is considered by stalwarts as the real deal and is on par with international festivals like France’s Cannes.

Tigers, directed by Oscar-winning director, Danis Tanovic, whose No Man’s Land outshone Lagaan at the award show, has found his way back into the world of Bollywood as he decided to cast Emraan Hashmi for this prestigious role!  The film has been produced by Prashita Chaudhary of Cinemorphic and Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment and revolves around a salesman (played by Emraan) who sells infant formula (the artificial substitute for breast milk), and results in an action packed film that revolves around how this small salesman uncovers a big racket and goes after it!

Tigers will compete in the Official Section at San Sebastian.  The screening is slated to take place at 4pm on September 25th!
