Bollywood Hindi Music What's Happenin'

Shweta Pandit's "Tere Hoke Rahenge (Unplugged)"

I have always believed that a singer’s true talent comes out when you listen to their voice without overwhelming the vocals with too many instruments.  Of course, this is a risk that could either result in one picking up flaws in a singer’s voice, or, as in the case of Shweta Pandit’sTere Hoke Rahenge (unplugged),” can and will result in pure magic.  The original song, “Tere Hoke Rahenge (Reprise)” from Emraan Hashmi’s Raja Natwarlal, was originally sung by Shweta and became a major hit!  Somehow, this this singing siren has managed to create an even more perfect version with the Unplugged release!  Shweta’s voice sounds so pure, her diction perfect, emotion fully present in each word, and is completely flawless!  In my humble opinion, it is one of the best songs she has sung!

The unplugged version uses guitars in the background that add to the breeziness and beauty of the love song.  The track was made in collaboration with Luca Giovacchini and Carlo Puddu in Italy.  The entire video was shot there and depicts a young girl (played by Shweta herself)’s beautiful journey of love – from waiting for her lover to remembering all the moments they spent together.  Based on comments for the video, it seems that listeners agree with me that this version is even better than the original!  Of course that is no surprise since Shweta’s soulful voice can make any song a success!  Combining with Shweta’s singing talent are lyrics by Irshad Kamil, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja!  The track has been dominating and topping music charts in India!
