Bollywood What's Happenin'

There’s a story in every image of PK: Aamir!

Aamir Khan poster has been getting so much negative feedback but that isn’t stopping him from releasing this film and the director and why should it? Just because a poster looks wrong to the audience doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be shown. India has known to criticize art and these artistic posters which portray films – and it seems like they are taking this poster which was released by the actor a few weeks ago to a whole new level with criticism!  Hollywood has done it so why can’t Bollywood films? Is it because of our religion and what we believe in? Like said, there is a story in every image as Aamir states and everyone who is surprised about the poster just needs to take a step back and think about the ‘story’ behind the film.

Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan, who surprised everyone with his semi-nude appearance in PK’s first poster, was seen at the unveiling of the second poster of the film along with the makers. And speaking on the occasion, Aamir revealed that about 10 more posters of the film will come out soon, with each one of them telling a story!

“There is a story in each and every image that we reveal. We will have a poster campaign and we will reveal eight to 10 posters till the time the film releases,” Aamir Khan told the reporters. “The more posters we reveal, the more people will get confused,” Aamir said.

Interestingly, if the first one had the star going nude with just a strategically placed radio, the second poster shows him completely covered this time in a red angarkha teamed up with white pajamas and a trumpet in his hand.

The first poster surprised the viewers, setting tongues wagging with social networking sites being flooded with jokes targeting Aamir Khan. But the 49-year-old actor says that he takes criticism in his stride. What’s more, he added saying that the viewers will understand the logic behind the posters only after they watch the film which would release in December.

“Some people have loved it and some people didn’t like it, but you all will understand once you will see the film. I am happy with the response. There were some great jokes, and different stuff on Facebook and Internet. I enjoyed it,” Aamir said.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, PK also stars Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput.
