Get a glimpse into the 19th century with the exclusive teaser of Rang Rasiya. The upcoming period drama film is about the Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma,the first man to ever visualize gods and goddesses on the canvas. Rang Rasiya brings together two extremely talented actors of Indian cinema for the first time, Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen as Raja Ravi Varma and his muse Sugandha respectively.
The teaser features various aspects of the painter’s life, his passion for his work, his relationship with Sugandha and the obstacles he faces as a result of his art. The apt depiction of 19th century India is a treat to watch. Raja Ravi Verma is an iconic figure in Indian art history, who gave the world beautiful pieces of work that are common sights even in today’s time. Nandana Sen is at her best as she delicately portrays the sensuous muse while Randeep Hooda plays the character of Raja Ravi Varma with ease.
Presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen), Rang Rasiya is directed by Ketan Mehta, produced by Deepa Sahi and Aanand Mahendroo. It stars Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen and newcomer Triptha Parashar in the lead roles. Rang Rasiya is slated for a Diwali release.
