A leading publication on Wednesday speculated pregnancy as the reason behind actress Rani Mukerji being late for her appearance on the sets of a dance reality show recently. The news read that the ‘Mardaani’ actress, who had a secret destination wedding in Italy this year with long time beau and YRF scion Aditya Chopra, had visited the doctor before going to ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ as a promotional event for her upcoming film. But it seems, the speculations turned to be wrong as Rani’s spokesperson were quick to react to the rumors that are doing the rounds!
Clearing the air of any possible pregnancy, Rani’s spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday,
“We were astonished to know of the false information doing the rounds on Ms. Mukerji. She is suffering from a severe case of viral fever. “With great difficulty she went ahead with her prior commitment to visit the sets of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ as part of promotions of ‘Mardaani’ and completed all that was required of her on set. Her sheer professionalism is what made it possible for her to shoot,” it further read.
Hmm… whatever be the reason for being late, but we must say after the hush-hush wedding, we all can’t wait to hear the news of a stork visiting Rani’s home soon!
