Superstar Akshay Kumar would be returning to TV, after hosting the reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ in 2008, with an unique talent hunt ‘Dare 2 Dance’ (D2D) this time. What’s more, the Khiladi says that he has borrowed the crucial elimination concept of the reality show from his recent visit to son Aarav`s school on sport`s day!
Revealing the details of the talent hunt show, he said,
“I would be the host and mentor of the show which would not be shot in a studio but at the outdoor locations. This won`t be an ordinary reality show. Here the 10 choreographers from worldwide would be challenged every time, like they have to dance on ice or at a height of 6000 feet. The level of dare would be increased from level one to level 6… Unlike other reality shows, here the contestants would not be eliminated if they could not perform well initially. They would be given certain chances. I have borrowed this concept when I visited my son`s school on sports day. They were given enough chances to finish a game rather throwing them out from the competition for not performing well.”
‘Dare 2 Dance’ would be shot entirely in Cape Town, South Africa and it scheduled to go on air from September. The show is planned to have 16 episodes. Akshay Kumar would also be seen shaking a leg on the show, as the star said,
“The show is not an adaptation of any international show. I will also dance. I won`t keep it comfortable for myself even. Before giving the task to the contestants, I would go there and would try first.”
