The Teaser poster of Shreyas and Deepti Talpade’s home production “Poshter Boyz” was launched with a lot of fanfare on the Grand Finale of Sony TV’s popular reality dance show Boogie Woogie. Shreyas along with Javed, Naved and Ravi unveiled the very quirky and curious poster featuring Dilip Prabhavalkar, Hrishikesh Joshi and Aniket Vishwasrao in never seen before avtars.
Speaking on the subject Shreyas said that,
“I am glad the poster was unveiled on Boogie Woogie. I would like to thank Sony TV and the team of Boogie Woogie for giving us this opportunity. Having done many films together, Javed and I have been friends for a longtime and when I told him about the teaser poster he instantaneously said that we need to unveil it on his show. Boogie Woogie has been a house hold name for as long as I can remember the original dance revolution of the country. The most important reason to be on Boogie Woogie is the reach and the concentration of family audiences that have been loyal to the show for over a decade. Our film is a whole some family entertainer with strong presence of clean situational comedy relatable to an average Indian.”
Poshter Boyz is a humorous take on a key social issue where three ordinary individuals of completely different age-groups find themselves brought together in an unwanted situation that has a serious negative effect on their well-settled happily progressing life. Laced with a very interesting and well rounded music and background score, the film explores the journey of these three men through these trying times and their fight for justice.
Boogie Woogie’s judge Javed was thrilled to have the team of Poshter Boyz and said
“I have had the pleasure of working with Shreyas on multiple occasions. He is a great artist. The most important thing is whatever I have seen him do, he does it with heart and passion. I am more than sure that if Shreyas, puts in all his heart and soul into a film, it will definitely do well. I am glad that Shreyas has come to our show on the finale episode with his ‘baby’, and wish him all the success for ‘Poshter Boyz’ and his future endeavors.”
Adding further Shreyas said,
“I am more than pleased with the teaser creative. This is an outcome of a collective brainstorming of production and marketing teams and great execution by the creative agency. The poster is a perfect balance of quirk and leaves the audience wondering what to expect from this family entertainer. Furthermore, this is the first in a series of surprises we have in store for our fans as we continuously endeavour to push the envelope across all elements of the film’s lifecycle.”
Surrounded by such great talent and chart popping music Shreyas could not resist going to the stage and shaking a leg with the hosts and the participant.
Being produced under Shreyas Talpade’s own banner Affluence Movies Private Limited and co-produced by Hadi Ali Abrar, the film which is directed by Sameer Patil and has been shot across real locations across Western Maharashtra, stars Dilip Prabhavalkar, Aniket Vishwasrao, Hrishikesh Joshi, Pooja Sawant, Neha Joshi, amongst others. Another key highlight of the film is its music, which for the first time in Marathi cinema, would feature none other than Lesle Lewis. Other credits include Producer and Costumes by Deepti Talpade, story and dialogues by Sameer Patil, screenplay by Sameer Patil and Charudatt Bhagwat, and cinematographer by Pushpank Gawde.
Poshter Boyz which has completed shoot is slated to release on 04 July, 2014.
