Bollywood Fever Grips Tampa Bay during Eat at Joe’s this Friday!

So fans and Bollywood fanatics here is your chance to meet ‘Oh La La’ actress! So what is Eat at Joes? Well this event takes place every second Friday of the month in downtown Tampa and this month is a celebration of art and Bollywood and food!

This month’s Eat at Joe’s lunch time concert series shines a midday spotlight and celebrates Indian cinema  join us as Bollywood Fever Grips Tampa Bay.

On Friday, March 14 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., downtown workers, residents, visitors and film buffs are invited to be among the first to feel the “fever” as organizers of April’s International Indian Film Festival (IIFA) bring the award-winning actress, Vidya Balan, to downtown Tampa.

 

Balan, last year’s popular IIFA winner, will meet fans and make new ones during the Eat at Joe’s event in Joe Chillura Courthouse Square, corner of Pierce Street and Kennedy Boulevard.  Balan is scheduled to arrive at 12:20 p.m.   Friday’s free Eat at Joe’s lunchtime concert series will also serve up authentic Indian fare and entertainment including DJ Firoz.

Attendees can choose from a variety of food vendors or bring their own lunch to the park.   Eat at Joe’s is a partnership among the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department; the Arts Council of Hillsborough County; the City of Tampa; and the Tampa Downtown Partnership. Hillsborough County Commissioner Al Higginbotham inspired the Eat at Joe’s lunchtime concert series to increase patronage in and around the scenic spot downtown known as Joe Chillura Courthouse Square.
