Subes always had a passion for music and started as a child to participate in music events in Norway. His inspiration to music in the early ages came from listening to musicians from South Asia. This ultimately led him to join his two brothers to form a R&B/Hip Hop group named Shine in 2005 and gained huge popularity amongst the Norwegian and Tamil community.
Now as a solo artist, Subes is working on his debut EP, Se7en Shades of Love. The concept of the EP is taken from ancient Arabic literature where love is classified into seven different shades (Attraction, Infatuation, Love, Reverence, Worship, Obsession, & Death). Princeten Charles, who made numerous number one hits with artists around the world, is producing the EP.
Commenting on the collaboration with Princeten Charles, Subes noted that this album is a dream project of his and ensures that the EP will deliver the essences of love. The EP will be released in the spring of 2014.
