As IIFA is less than 3 months away not even, Tampa Bay is all hyped up for the event and fans and residents are talking about the show nonstop! Over the years the Videocon D2H International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) Weekend has grown into the most awaited, entertaining and revered Awards show, the industry has witnessed. The support garnered from the industry over the years has multiplied and the Weekend now sees the bulk of the industry take time off between busy schedules to attend the biggest celebration of Indian Cinema outside of India. The 15th IIFA Weekend and Awards is scheduled to take place from the 23rd to the 26th of April, in Tampa, Florida, making it IIFA’s debut in America.
A press conference is scheduled to kick off the growing excitement around this year’s celebration on 18th February at the US Consulate, BKC, Mumbai. Actors Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mukesh Bhatt and Pritam will join members of the Academy along with the US Consul General Peter Hass, Mayor of Tampa Bay – Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Hillsborough County Commissioner Al Higginbotham, cardiologist, community leader and strong supporter of IIFA, Dr Kiran Patel and Santiago Corrada, President & CEO, Visit Tampa Bay to announce the preparations underway for the celebrated Weekend and Awards in Tampa. This will be the first official ground announcement in India.

The 15th edition of the Videocon D2H IIFA Weekend in April 2014 is set to include film briefings, the IIFA Film Workshop, the FICCI-IIFA Global Business Forum, IIFA Rocks, IIFA Magic of the Movies & Technical Awards and the crown jewel of the IIFA Weekend, the Tata Motors IIFA Awards.
