The Royal Bengal Tiger, is Viacom18 Motion Pictures entry into the Bengali film industry; popularly known as Tollywood. The film is one of highly anticipated films in West Bengal.
The Royal Bengal Tiger is the story of a common man Abhiroop Banerjee (Abir Chatterjee) and his uncommon friendship with Anjaan (Jeet) who pushes and motivates the generally non-confrontational Abhiroop to tackle his woes fearlessly. This film is a rare ‘concept based commercial film’ and is all set to propel Jeet into a very different league; who has become a mass phenomenon amongst Bengali cinema audiences.
The story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Neeraj Pandey and Rajesh Ganguly. It’s a homecoming film for Neeraj who has to his credit films such as Special 26 and A Wednesday. Going by initial reactions to the trailer; the movie looks very exciting and is sure set audience pulse racing. The audiences will be highly impressed not only by Jeet’s and Abir’s performances but also Priyanka Sarkar’s and Shraddha Das’s powerful portrayals of their characters. The film hits the cinemas on 31st Jan 2014.
