A couple days back, we let you know that Gin & Rees were going to kick of the new year with a video remix of their hit track, “Sanu Teh Changa“! Well, the boys officially released the video earlier today! This is the boy’s special new year qawali refix for their fans and features the vocal talents of Aslam Ali. This is the first track to feature the powerful Sufi vocalist, Aslam Ali. Those who have heard him sing, have mentioned that he closely resembles the vocal tone of the great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Aslam’s debut album will be releasing soon, but until then, you can hear him on Gin & Rees’ refix! Purchase on iTunes.
A special re-worked version of the track had been created recently and used for a TV campaign by Laila Rice and Laila Atta. It became quite popular, generating public demand for the track, and is the reason this ‘refix’ version was released.
