Banta is "Too Damn Desi"

Indian born and London bred Banta, is ready to release his debut album,”Too Damn Desi.” This album features some big artists such as, KS Makhan, Mangi Mahal, Balkar Sidhu, Lucky Sidhu, Nirmal Sidhu, Kiran Dhanoa and Jaswinder Daghamia. That’s quite the superstar lineup, isn’t it?

Banta has teamed up with India’s most prestigious T Series to bring you this 11 track album that took three years to complete. Banta wanted to ensure that everything was in place and blended together perfectly.

Banta’s family is not involved in the music industry, so it was merely his curiosity about the behind the scenes of music that got him hooked. He joined the bhangra group 4×4 and was taught to play the dhol by Ustaad Billy. Banta stated,

“Honestly, for me, the main thing that taught me how to put a song together is YouTube and Google. There are plenty of tutorials that I picked up new techniques on how to use the music software. As Babbu Mann said, ‘Saint Google,’ and with the guidance of Ustaad Billy, I was able to come up with music that defines me.”
