Bollywood’s leading desi girl, Priyanka Chopra, has surpassed expectations once again in India, and no its not with regards to her acting!
Instead, Priyanka is making waves again with her singing! Her latest single, “Exotic” ft. noted singer/rapper Pitbull, has already shot up to the No. 1 spot on the coveted and highly competitive iTunes India charts, and its only been 2 days since its release!
Having achieved massive success with her debut international single “In My City” ft. Will.i.am last September, the actor and now singer has done it again garnering chart-topping success with her follow-up International single “Exotic” on a chart that’s primarily dominated by film-music.
Commenting on the success of her new single Priyanka Chopra said,
“This is so overwhelming. I’m humbled and super excited. I’m so glad that my ‘desi’ experiment has been accepted and appreciated. I owe it all to my amazing fans who have been so supportive of my music foray. Thank you for making this happen.”

This swift progression is the most rapid ascent to the #1 position until now for a single on these charts, more so for a non-film song where recognition favors music that is popularized through films.
