Global Smurfs Day was celebrated this year on 22nd June, 2013. Fans from all across the world came together to be part of this smurfin’ awesome day and celebrate a day of all things blue! A little before the blue day, the little Smurfs had a special message for fans, inviting them to paint the town blue and celebrate this grand day in style! From flash mobs in Paris to costumed fans in Brussels, no stone was left unturned for this special day!
The excitement was kicked up a notch when Phoenix Market City in Kurla, Mumbai even hosted an event, where kids and adults both could meet their favorite characters, click pictures and go all blue! The festivity came to an end with stars Neil Patrick Harris and Katy Perry thanking fans on social platforms for being part of this smurftastic celebration! Did it say Neil Patrick and Katy Perry in India! Yes we did! Global Smurfs Day might have ended, but the countdown to the release date has already begun! Now that the town’s been painted blue, get ready to get naughty! The Smurfs 2 hits theaters in India this August 2! Are you ready to celebrate in Blue Style? We sure are!
