*Ticket Giveaway* Walk the red carpet in NY for "Promise Land" premiere!

There’s no doubt that NYC is definitely the epicenter for film and theater – at least on the East Coast.  So, it is no surprise that filmmakers love to launch their movies in this entertainment hub.  Later this month, on May 18th, NEQUA Studios will be holding the NYC red carpet premiere of Kevin Dalvi’s much awaited film – “Promise Land.”  Last year, I had a chance to see an earlier cut of the movie.  You can see my review here.  In honor of the red carpet premiere, Dalvi is giving away 2 pairs of 2 tickets (contest details below) to the NYC premiere!  So, enter and come walk the red carpet!

Contest Details:

In celebration of the premiere, we are giving away 2 pairs of 2 tickets to the NYC red carpet premiere.  To enter the contest, simply e-mail roopa@urbanasian.com with a couple lines regarding what the US as the “promise land” means to you.

Movie Details:

“Promise Land”, produced by Nequa Studios,  and written/directed by Kevin Dalvi (of “Simanaheen” fame), focuses on the theme of the US being the supposed “Promise Land” – a land that immigrants come to, with the hopes that their futures will be bright.  The film focuses on three different families to highlight the issues still facing South Asian immigrants.  The families’ journeys take us through the ebb and flow of various personal as well as immigration issues, and culminate in how each family eventually confronts, overcomes, and accepts their respective fates.
