"The Kati Roll Company" Gets Fresh!

Indians are known for loving spices, but it’s often difficult to find something truly healthy and organic even with Indian vegetarian dishes.  Luckily, The Kati Roll Company, is always fresh with ideas!  Known for its innovative Indian ‘kati‘ rolls, the franchise is ready to kick it up a notch to address the needs of their customers.  They are ready to introduce some delicious organic salads to its core 13-item menu.  The coolest aspect of the new addition to the menu is that the salads will feature some unique Indian-inspired dressings!

Founded by Payal Saha, The Kati Roll Company (TKRC) first opened in New York City’s eclectic Greenwich Village in 2002 with a simple menu consisting of authentic flavored kati rolls made with hand-ground spices, homemade parathas and freshly grilled fillings. Today with 3 locations in Manhattan and one in London, TKRC’s menu consists of 13 varieties of kati rolls filled with the highest quality of lamb, beef, chicken, seafood, paneer, egg and grilled vegetables. All rolls are available in a choice of fresh flatbreads made daily–the original paratha or the lighter alternative of whole wheat roti.

As you can tell, the restaurant boasts of flavorful dishes, and these new salads have been concocted to maintain the same quality you always expect and receive from TKRC.  Regarding this new addition to their menu, founder Payal Saha of the Kati Roll Company, reflected:

“We’ve always strived to provide our customers the freshest ingredients with our kati rolls. We are now extending the menu with an organic salad made fresh daily in our restaurants.”

The well-rounded salads are a chopped blend of farm-to-table mixed greens, romaine lettuce, tomato, carrot, cucumber, mango (or seasonal fruits), raisins, sunflower seeds, corn, chickpeas, almonds and green pepper and can be dressed with a choice of a tangy lime cilantro, a cool mint yogurt, or a spicy cumin tamarind. The dressings have been specifically blended to enhance the ingredients of the salads with a touch of Indian flavor. A skewer of grilled paneer or chicken can be added at the time of ordering to make the salad a delicious and healthy meal.

Salads are available in two sizes:

• The generous 13 oz. large organic salad debuts at $7.99.
• A smaller 8 oz. version is only $5.49 and is the perfect side with a roll.
• A grilled skewer of chicken tikka or paneer is an additional $1.75.
