The unfortunate news of the passing away of India’s prolific filmmakers, Rituparno Ghosh, due to a sudden cardiac arrest, has left the industry bewildered. His accomplishments were tremendous and Subhash Ghai even had a taste of Rituparno Ghosh’s brilliance when they together teamed up for the movie Noukadubi.
Gulzar who has translated the lyrics of the film in its Hindi dubbed version has mentioned that Noukadubi was the best film of Rituparno Ghosh’s career. Rituparno Ghosh who has won nearly 12 National Awards and other International Awards throughout his tryst with filmmaking, gave a stellar movie along with Subhash Ghai that was very well received. May she rest in peace and thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
