The Biggest Burban Names Unite on One Stage Only for Alchemy!

April 20th, Alchemy at Southbank Center will feature some of the leading names from Burban music, who will perform the biggest, blazing desi beats in the Urban Asian music world! Back by popular demand at Alchemy is the Burban Mela, a spectacular show hosted by BBC Radio 1’s DJ Nihal.

The electrifying mela will showcase the best of the Brown Urban music scene and feature major Burban hits. This year is bigger than last, with renowned acts like Jernade Miah and Bonafide headlining. Following their major success with recent number 1 hit Meri Rani, RaOol will also be taking the stage!

Burban – which stands for Brown Urban – has gone from strength to strength in the past year unifying all ethnic urban musicians under one banner. The genre – pioneered by rapper Shizzio – has succeeded in joining the biggest names in the Brown Urban music world. The mela is a celebration of emerging and established musicians from the brown urban music scene. It offers an exclusive opportunity to see them share the stage for the annual festival.
