The leading hero of David Dhawan’s version of Chashme Buddoor, Ali Zafar recently met veteran actor Farooque Sheikh, who had acted in the original in 1981.
While discussing the film’s music launch with Dhawan and a cup of coffee at a suburban hotel, he met Farooque. Farooque Sheikh appraised Ali Zafar’s talent and appreciated Dhawan choice for giving him the lead character. He not only expressed his pleasure on hearing that Ali has reenacted his role from the film, but also gave him his good wishes and blessings.
In talking to media Ali expressed,
I have wanted to get his blessings since a long time. Fortunately on my last day before I flew out to London, while all of us (cast and Viacom team ) were celebrating the feedback we were getting on the promo and songs we heard that Farooque Sheikh Sahab is in the lobby of the same hotel. I requested to meet up to which he said would be a pleasure. So we all went down to meet him and he was so nice to all of us. He also said that he would be looking forward to the film.
