The crime action drama, which will appeal to a broad cross section of cinemagoers, features superstar, Akshay Kumar, in his most unique screen role to date, in a challenging departure from his signature comedy and action roles. The screen heavyweight features alongside a stellar cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Jimmy Shergill, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher and Divya Dutta, with music by M.M. Kreem and Himesh Reshammiya.

Set in the early 80’s, Special 26 is inspired by a real life collective of con artists who pulled off a string of intelligently calculated robberies targeting famous business personalities and politicians by posing as CBI or Income Tax Officers, on the pretext of conducting raids to uncover hoardings of black money.
