The Zee Cine Awards 2013 were held earlier today in India, and we have details on the winners here just for you!  In prior years, the awards have been held in various locations around the world from London to Dubai.  However, the awards returned to the home country this year as it is the 100th year of Indian cinema!  So, what better place to hold an awards show than India itself!  The Zee Cine Awards have been lauded as the best people’s choice awards, since the viewers get to vote for winners.  Of course, the awards also feature “critics” awards, but the winners always agree that the popular choice awards mean the most to them.  This year the show was hosted by Abhishek Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh.

“After nearly 15 years, Zee Cine Awards is returning to Mumbai and our effort will be to make it entertaining for the audiences worldwide. We make films for our audiences. Without their love and support, we are truly nothing,” said Abhishek.

Ritesh added,

“Abhishek and I are going to be hosting an award function for the very first time together. It is a huge responsibility that Zee has bestowed on us and we hope to entertain our audiences to the hilt.”
