After her dhamakedar performance in “Govinda” from ‘Oh My God’ she has accepted Khan’s offer to do an introductory song called “Thank God It’s Friday“. The song is said to be a super glitz and glam hit reminding viewers of “Jawani Jaaneman” from Namak Halal. It is “inspired by the discos of the 80s, with reflective dance floors, mirrors and all things shiny.”

The song is in the voice of Sunidhi Chauhan, is composed by Sachin-Jigar with Choreography by Chinni Prakash.

A source close to development said,

“Sajid has conceived of this lavish introductory song for which he wanted Sonakshi. She has a certain rustic image that she has been trying to break out of. Though she is proud of the roles she has done so far, this song seems like the perfect platform for her to attempt a makeover. Her costumes will be designed by Manish Malhotra.”

This disco dhamaka is said to be shot in a studio called Funky Town that is a bit inspired by Khan’s roots as he started out a teen DJ at a club in Mumbai.
