Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor will once again be seen together on the big screen after appearing in the 2005 film, Stay. The two are now starring in director Juan Antonio Bayona’s English-language Spanish drama film, The Impossible.
Written by Sergio G.Sánchez, The Impossible tells a true story about a Spanish couple and their three children who get separated while they are on vacation in Thailand due to a devastating Tsunami that destroys the coastal zone. It tells the true story of a Spanish family’s experience of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.
The Impossible had its world premiere at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 9, where it received critical acclaim. PVR Pictures has launched a two and half minutes trailer which gives one a glimpse of the tragedy struck in Southeast Asia.
All set to release on January 4th, 2013 in India, The Impossible is one of the most awaited films of the coming year.
