Highlighting his vocal range Mickey Singh impresses fans yet again by taking a classic and incorporating an R&B twist into his rendition. He shows off his versatility in this new track which is a great departure from his previous releases like the Birthday Cake Punjabi remix featuring Amar Sandhu. Sang over a melodic piano instrumental Mickey Singh adds new layers and emotions that truly capture the hearts and ears of anyone that hears it. Speaking of his experience remaking this beautiful song by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Mickey Singh said:
“This song is one of my favorites of Rahat. He may not have been saying a lot but the way the words were put together he said everything. I felt his emotion and wanted express those feelings in my own way.”
Directed by rising filmmaker, Khayyam Khan, the video takes us on a journey through New Orleans as the story line, cinematography, and visuals unfold before us. Attempting to create something different from the typical, Khayyam Khan incorporates visual effects with dream-esque performance shots that carry his storybook tale.
