New South Asian based web series! Add some "cha do" masala to your tea!

On September 22, 2012, Moghuls Inc. launched the first 4 episodes of its web series Cha Do. Punjabi for “Give Me Tea”, Cha Do is a comedy that follows a pair of South Asian siblings (Talia and Ajay) whose family runs an Indian Restaurant. Add in their cousin Sal (short for Salman) and their other 4 friends, and hilarity ensues as together they navigate the marriage of two very different cultures (South Asian and American).

The partners of Moghuls Inc.- Mona Barkat, Rasha Goel and Lorna Clarke Osunsanami – wanted to give the South Asian community a platform to be something other than the stereotype and voice the comedy and difficulties of growing up and being part of an immigrant family here in the US.

Committed also to having an overall multicultural platform, the cast portrays a cultural mix of friends. This gives Cha Do not only a South Asian appeal, but also a mix of other cultures as well!

So sit back, brew some tea, grab a beer, get some sweets, see if you recognize anyone, and have a laugh with Cha Do!
