In what continues to be a year of comebacks for Indian film actresses*, Preity Zinta marks her own return to the marquee after a considerable absence from the big-screen spotlight with her upcoming romantic comedy Ishkq in Paris. Not only does she star the feature alongside Rhehan Malliek and French actress Isabelle Adjani, but the film marks Preity’s debut as a producer under her home banner, PZNZ Media.
Directed by Prem Raj (who is probably eager to get another project under his belt to deflect from that Main Aur Mrs Khanna disaster) Ishkq in Paris is slated for an October 5th release. The story? Two strangers, after a chance encounter on a train, decide to spend a day together in the city of lights and love, leading to…well we’re pretty sure you can all guess how a story that takes place within 24 hours in one of the most romantic places on the planet will pan out.
What do you say, readers? Can Preity dazzle her way back into our hearts with this one, or are her days as the dimpled darling of Bollywood truly over? Check out the ever-so-glittery trailer and tell us your thoughts!
