As Sridevi celebrates her birthday, filmmaker Balki has a special present to gift her on this very special day. Sridevi has a very exciting year to look forward to, as the theatrical trailer of her film English Vinglish launches on her birthday which is the 13th of August. English Vinglish marks Sridevi’s come back to the silver screen after 15 long years.
Produced by R. Balki and directed by debutant, Gauri Shinde, “English Vinglish” marks Sridevi’s return after a 14-year hiatus. The film focuses on a woman attempting to master the English language; she travels the world and eventually perfects the language. Rather than a typical protagonist or muse, the film centers around the language itself, highlighting its importance and challenges for characters from a variety of backgrounds.
