This weekend was filled with reality show eliminations! Reality shows such as Indian Idol and DID Lil’ Masters lost some very talented rising stars. Jhalak Dikhlaja also lost a contestant due to illness.
First on Indian Idol season 6, Amitabh Narayan, Ritika Raj and Amit fall into the danger zone due to low scores and votes. However, it is Amitabh Narayan who sadly, must leave. The singers paid tribute to the late Rajesh Khanna in this week’s episode with the legendary actor, Jitender as their guest of honor. Now Vipul, Kaushik, Devendra, Poorvi, Amit, Sohini and Ritika are left in the running to be the next Indian Idol!
On Jhalak Dikhlaja season 5, trained dancer and actress, Jayati Bhatia, failed to impress judges with her Salsa dance. She had trouble dancing in her heels due to her vertigo problem. Bhatia and her partner, Diwaker danced to the song “I Love You” from the hit movie Bodyguard. Even though Bhatia received the lowest scores she still managed to hang on to the show since Pratyusha Banerjee was eliminated instead. Banerjee was very ill and hospitalized so she was eliminated by default.
Performing on the challenging acts given this week, Gurmeet Choudhary, Giaa Manek and Isha Sharvani successfully gained 30 marks after giving the best of their performance on the dance floor. Soon the stars will be seen paying tribute to the late Rajesh Khanna in a future episode. Tusshar Kapoor and Ritesh Deshmukh will also be guests on the show to promote their new comedy, Kya Super Cool Hai Hum.

On DID Lil’ Masters, Tanay from Neerav Ki Ninja’s was eliminated from the show and now Neerav is left with only one dancer in his team, Jeet Das. This episode features DID legends of seasons past who have come to support and perform with their favorite Lil’ Masters. DID dancing sensations Siddhesh Pai and Vrushali Chavan (season 1), Dharmesh Yelande and Amrita Mitra (season 2), Pradeep Gurung, Paul Marshal and winner Rajasmita (season 3) will be seen burning the dance floor with the l’il masters in tonight’s episode. Sunday’s episode will be featuring Ritesh Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor, who will be there to promote their upcoming movie Kya Super Cool Hai Hum.
